Hi there!

I'm Dr. Sharon Facey

I help women lower cholesterol, navigate menopause, and reclaim their energy with a simple, sustainable (mostly) plant-based lifestyle.

Why I Do What I Do

As a family doctor, I’ve seen firsthand how heart health and lifestyle go hand in hand. Many women come to me feeling stuck: struggling with high cholesterol, unexpected weight gain, or menopause symptoms that make everyday life harder. And they aren’t getting the answers they need.

Most of the time, they’re just told, “It’s part of life.”

But that’s not good enough.

I’m here to show you another way.

Through my medical experience and my own journey, I’ve discovered the incredible power of a whole food, plant-based lifestyle. It’s simple, sustainable, and backed by science. No extreme diets. No calorie counting. Just real, lasting changes that support your heart and overall health.

And When I'm Not Doing That...

You’ll probably find me out in nature with my buddy, Sparky. Whether we’re walking on the beach or exploring the forest, he’s my daily reminder to slow down, stay present, and enjoy life’s little moments. 💛

Those values—balance, simplicity, and joy—are what I try to bring into my work, too.

My Journey to (Mostly) Plant-Based Living

I wasn’t always (mostly) plant-based. In fact, I couldn’t start my mornings without my cappuccino with milk.

Like many women, I struggled with my weight for years. Even as a doctor, I couldn’t figure it out. I tried calorie-restricted diets and shakes, but I could never keep the weight off.

Everything changed when I transitioned to a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.
✔️ I lost weight, and for the first time, it actually stayed off.
✔️ My energy levels went up.
✔️ My digestive issues disappeared, which ment no more reflux meds.

But beyond all of that, I finally felt at peace with food and my body. No more obsessing over what I ate. No more feeling like I was constantly failing. And that was the biggest transformation of all.

I also knew I wasn’t just doing this for how I felt in the moment. With a family history of heart disease, I’ve seen what can happen when we don’t know how to take care of our hearts. I knew I didn’t want to end up on that same path.

Then I started seeing the bigger picture—how much menopause changes heart health. I saw it with my patients, I learned it from the research, and I felt it happening in my own body. But no one was talking about it.

That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help women understand what’s happening in their bodies and take control of their heart health before it’s too late.
